Tesla Predicted Wireless Transmission 100 Years ago

In an article of the New York Times, published in Popular Mechanics 1909 October edition, Nikola Tesla predicted wireless power transmission and mobile communication. (I have just finished this entire post and hit the safe button, when my server went down, so I lost everything - including my belief in modern technology...) He expected this to become reality in a few years time... Now a hundred years later, wireless transmission of electric power is just in its infancy and we are still using the same dirty fuels. What went wrong? Imagine how quiet and clean it would be, if traffic (including air traffic) were powered by electric power. And there would be no limitation in reach - unfortunately Wardenclyffe Tower was never finalized due to a lack of funds. If only they would have let him do...maybe they wouldn't have to waste all this money on climate summits now...
